A high-stakes kidnapping shocks Tokyo. The culprit threatens to blow up the entire city unless the ransom is delivered to a designated location. Unexpectedly, a veteran detective Shunsaku Aoshima is chosen for this mission.
But that is only the beginning. A string of murders using a 3D printed gun shakes the city. To make matters worse, a lethal virus is stolen from one of the victims, a scientist. Soon after, the Metropolitan Police Department receives a threat that the virus will be released across the city.
Although Aoshima joined the First Investigation Division, he has no time to catch his breath as crises strike one after another. Who is behind this web of crime?

Once again, Aoshima runs alongside his colleagues before Tokyo plunges into total chaos.
