“The VERSUS”, a remake of the renowned Japanese game show (VS Arashi) that aired on Fuji TV for 12 years. In this version, a guest team, which can be either randomly selected contestants or a pre-formed team, competes against the show’s permanent team, known as “Team US”.
Team US consists of selected athletes, physical trainers, and celebrities, each excelling in areas like muscle strength, stamina/endurance, agility, flexibility, intelligence (expert in physics), etc., with 8-10 members overall. Depending on the game, the best 3-6 members are chosen to compete.
Guest Team (Team THEM): A team of 6, either randomly picked from applicants or an existing group (e.g., a soccer team from UCLA or physical trainers from Gold’s Gym in Springfield, IL). For each game, 3-6 contestants are selected.
All games originate from the original VS ARASHI show, which is well-planned, structured, and has enjoyed high popularity over its 12 years of weekly broadcasting.
