A “comical animal mystery” where cases are solved through animals!

Tomozo Sudo (Atsuro Watabe), a severe former assistant inspector of the First Investigation Division, was injured in a certain case and removed from active-duty investigation, and reassigned to a leisurely post at the Metropolitan Police General Affairs Department’s Animal Administration (aka MPD: Animal Unit), which takes custody of the pets of suspects or missing persons. Once there, he meets Officer Keiko Usuki (Kanna Hashimoto), an animal lover who graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine. Sudo was at first at furious with Keiko, who loved animals even more than humans and always insisted on having her own way, but when Keiko finds a clue from the condition of a pet that was left behind at a crime scene, her bountiful knowledge and keen power of observation lead her to a stunning deduction. In the end, these unlikely partners Sudo and Keiko begin solving case after case. The greatest draw to this drama is that different animals star in every episode.
