A sad, moving coming-of-age love story about six young people who move to Tokyo from the countryside for their own reasons and struggle to live in the big city amid painful circumstances.

The characters in this drama are young people who move from the countryside to Tokyo, where they eke out a desperate existence. One moves to the city because of a big dream. One wants to get lost in the crowd, as if running away from home. And one moves to Tokyo simply to make money. But the big city refuses to go easy on them, because living there is no simple thing.
The main character, Oto, was raised by his single mother until she passed away at an early age. The rest of his childhood years were spent with adoptive parents in a rural town in Hokkaido. The other main character, Ren, lost both of her parents at an early age. Thereafter she was raised by her grandfather and lived in the great outdoors.
The story begins as the two of them meet amid the magnificent nature of Hokkaido. That first encounter eventually leads to them living in Tokyo, where they are fated to be swallowed up by the crowds and clusters of towering buildings.
Living in Tokyo is a painful struggle for them, but somehow they also discover the joy of being in love, all of which this drama portrays realistically as well as dramatically.
