A poignant, cheerful drama about three women who make their dreams come true even as they’re unduly treated by a bunch of lousy men!
The main character, Madoka, unconsciously marshals the “Laws of a Lucky Girlfriend”, which resolves her boyfriend’s anxiety, gives him a supportive push, and gets the ball rolling regarding his work and pride. However, right when she’s on the cusp of grasping her own happiness, her boyfriend always either gets promoted and transferred far away or runs to the arms of another woman. After being burned multiple times, Madoka is now afraid to fall in love.
Madoka’s best friend, Moeko, is her exact opposite. Moeko voraciously chases after happiness. She approaches various men with whom she could potentially fall in love. Even at her age, Moe lives with her mother, and is unable to escape her mother’s influence.
Madoka’s other friend, Midori, is cool and well-informed. However, a previous boyfriend refuses to give up on her and has started stalking Midori. That being said, it’s more a matter of obsessively-sent emails, which sometimes prompt Midori to think she might as well go back to him to get rid of the hassle, an attitude that Madoka and Moeko strongly oppose.
This story features realistically-portrayed modern women around 40 and their quest for happiness in the realms of work and love.
