Rookie nurse Izumi is late for work from day one. Her cheerful character seems to be her only saving grace, and her carelessness leads her to a series of mistakes. She is keen on fashion, and very much up for romance. But her superior nurse, Shoko, quickly gets fed up with her carefree character. Izumi, however, does show a remarkable ability to cheer up and encourage patients. Shoko begins to feel empathetic towards how Izumi comes in contact with the patients, and slowly a trusting relationship begins to grow between the two. Through all the trouble she causes, Izumi steadily develops with the support of the people surrounding her.
This drama is a heartwarming comedy that depicts Izumi’s development as a nurse and her love life. The drama received favorable reviews throughout its four-season run, and was also made into a movie.
