Yuriko Kanai has led a sheltered life, dreaming about getting married, though she isn’t good at doing housework herself. When she weds Kyouichi Hayami, the eldest of four brothers, she begins blissfully married life with her husband… or so she thinks, but after Kyouichi’s mother suddenly disappears, the newlywed couple moves in with Kyouichi’s father and brothers. At first, Yuriko can’t get used to the differences in values or her new environment, and every stab at housework fails, but little by little, she grows into the role of the most powerful bride around, “Mrs. Hayami”.
