Harashima receives the news that he has only three months to live. The money monger’s life begins to change drastically when he encounters a poor man named Konosuke. Harashima is the chairman of a major company, and has been commuting to a small clinic run by his friend to keep his illness a secret. There, he meets the meddlesome Konosuke. When Konosuke introduces his friends to Harashima, Harashima finds out that they are the people living in a redevelopment area who are protesting against his own project. Aware of Harashima’s position in society, Konosuke still believes in his benevolence. Then Harashima falls in love with one of the protestors, Kaori. Kaori finds out about his illness, and dedicates her life to loving Harashima.
The drama is a romance depicting a man discovering true friendship and love in the last three months of his life.
