The anime Anne Shirley has been selected and will be exhibited in the official competition of the Annecy International Film Festival in the TV Films category!

The Anne Shirley anime, which adapts Montgomery’s internationally beloved Anne of Green Gables series, has been selected and will be officially exhibited in the Annecy International Animation Film Festival’s official competition in the TV Films category.
The Annecy International Film Festival was created in 1960 as an independent version of the animation section of the Cannes film festival. It is the largest and longest running animation festival in the world, and will be held this year in Annecy, France beginning on June 8th. The official website has announced that they received over 3,900 films (across all categories) from over a hundred countries this year.
This anime, Anne Shirley, is expected to air on NHK Educational TV starting on April 5th at 18:25 with animation produced by TheAnswerstudio.
